Paragon has supported a fun-filled circus event for more than 400 local disabled, underprivileged and vulnerable children. The routing and scheduling software firm sponsored Pinocchio Joins the Circus, which took place at Crawley’s Haven Centre and was organised by independent, charitable organisation Circus Starr.
Circus Starr is a not-for-profit organisation that hosts relaxed and inclusive performances across the UK for children with disabilities, from disadvantaged backgrounds or facing other challenges. This latest production, presented by ringmaster Gordon Marquez and starring one of the UK’s favourite clowns Peanuts, combined the enchanted world of panto with the thrills and spills of live circus action. It also featured acrobats, dancers and entertainers from across the globe including world-renowned clown Emile Delbosq, the Human Slinkies and illusionists Scott and Mariska Garcia.
Neville Wilson, Director at Circus Starr commented: “The generous support of local businesses enables us to operate a unique Donated Ticket Programme that allows thousands of children across the UK to attend our shows free of charge. We would like to thank everyone at Paragon for their donation, which has made it possible to entertain and delight many children and their parents from in and around Sussex and Surrey.”
William Salter, Managing Director of Paragon Software Systems said: “We are delighted to support such a fantastic event, which has allowed us to give something back to our local community. Circus Starr is a social enterprise with children at its heart, so it is essential that it receives the support of companies such as Paragon and continues providing such enjoyment to disabled and underprivileged children.”
