fleXipod, a fully configurable Electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD) system, has been implemented by Needlers Ltd after a successful trial.
Needlers is a market leader in the supply of PPE, safety and hygiene products to the food manufacturing industry. Consequently, it was paramount that any additional fulfilment software solution enhanced this offering.
Needlers has equipped its mobile workforce with Samsung Galaxy S3 devices, which, in association with fleXipod, prompt the capture of signature, notes and photograph dependent upon the outcome of the delivery item or job. In addition, Needlers has designed and published self-designed forms including a daily vehicle check triggered by logon, and a “notebook” form allowing the capture of any ad-hoc additional details beneficial to the management of the distribution network.
The Customer Service Team at Needlers has one golden rule: Keep the customer informed. From the outset, it was important that the system supported this goal by offering access to near real-time updates of the captured “in-flight” data and GPS tracking, constantly monitoring fleet progress and allowing the immediate address of any problems which may arise.

The seamless integration of fleXipod with existing Needlers central systems via fleXipod’s dedicated middleware application has additionally allowed John to provide an Extranet for customers, smoothly extracting signature, signatory, time of delivery and location for the customer to view at their convenience. This enhanced service and communication level to the end customer requires no additional staff or resource.
