This year the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is celebrating its 100th anniversary with the CILT Centenary Convention in Manchester.
The “very real needs” the industry body was founded to address in 1919 after the First World War have clearly changed beyond recognition. Aside from the fact that the global logistics market is now estimated to be worth 10.32 billion USD, increasing customer expectations, driver shortages, rising costs and the need to reduce carbon emissions are all challenges that are forcing transport operators to work smarter and deliver more for less.
This month we’ll be joining logistics and transport professionals from around the world at the CILT Centenary Convention and reflecting on what this change means for the transport operators, planners and drivers that are now part of this dynamic industry.
Paragon has always been focused on developing, implementing and supporting route optimisation software that solves real-world problems for our customers. Today is no different. Increasingly we are using our solutions and experience to help transport operators across the world streamline their operations and break down silos between the planning team, transport department and drivers.
Combining route optimisation software with vehicle tracking and proof of delivery software ensures that the planning team, transport office and drivers are all working together towards the common goal of better visibility, reduced costs and increased customer service.
If you’re attending the CILT Convention then stop off at the Paragon stand and say hello to the team. We’ll be demonstrating our fleXipod proof of delivery software, as well as showing our latest Live Management tool.
Transport planning has come a long way. You might be surprised at how much Paragon has evolved too.
