Instarmac, the UK’s leading manufacturer of highway maintenance, concrete repair and tile adhesives and grouts products, has implemented Paragon Route Execution to inject additional customer service and backhauling benefits into a 16-vehicle operation already profiting from the accuracy and efficiency of Paragon’s plans.
While Single Depot Paragon had pushed up fleet utilisation and saved 12% in transport costs, the real-time fleet visibility provided by Route Execution is resulting in a broad range of efficiency gains critical to the operation’s rapid expansion.
Connected through a standard interface with NAVMAN Wireless’ OnLine AVL tracking system, Route Execution has enabled collections to be introduced into routes for the first time as planners can see and divert the vehicle nearest to newly-available stock. Customers now automatically receive text or email alerts when their deliveries are approaching – vital for forward stock locations and council depots which need to ensure someone is available to accept the goods-in load.
“The reliability and precision of Paragon’s plans and reports have put us in a very strong position as we grow our business.
One of Paragon’s key strengths is the focus and flexibility of its support team, which has worked tirelessly with us to make sure the solution works as effectively as possible for our particular operation.” Graham Stafford, Operations Director, Instarmac
