Paragon has expanded its development and support teams to help meet growing demand for home delivery management software. The company has recruited five new team members at its offices in Hull, made up of three software developers, a support analyst and a training consultant. This strengthening of Paragon’s technical capabilities is part of its commitment to creating and implementing sophisticated omnichannel delivery and order fulfilment systems.
The appointments will enable the company to continue to develop its modular home delivery software – Paragon HDX – and electronic proof of delivery software fleXipod. In addition, it will increase Paragon’s ability to deliver exceptional presale, implementation and in-life support to customers within the retail, logistics and service management sectors.
The investment in personnel follows the renaming of the business in May from Axida. This was part of a strategy to align the organisation with parent company Paragon Software Systems, which acquired a major shareholding last year. Paragon and Axida had been long-term business partners, developing integrated software solutions for managing and optimising sophisticated delivery operations. These systems are helping retailers to overcome the growing pressure to differentiate themselves with a better delivery offering by balancing excellent customer service with a cost-efficient operation.
William Salter, Managing Director of Paragon Software Systems commented: “Paragon HDX is an important part of our strategy moving forward, so we are delighted to be able to boost our capabilities in Hull. Our continued investment in research and development, combined with our commitment to go the extra mile with customers, means we are well-placed to further build on our market-leading position in transport optimisation, logistics planning and last mile delivery.”
