Paragon has announced new interfaces for its unique Route Execution option that enables seamless linking of routing and scheduling software to vehicle tracking systems.
The addition of Teletrac, Comet Tracker and XRS Corporation in the USA, Infosat in Poland and Traffilog in the UK brings the total number of interfaces to over 25 worldwide. This new development extends the opportunity for Paragon routing and scheduling software users to link to their GPS vehicle tracking systems to use real-time data for comparing their transport plans with actual vehicle movements.
Route Execution integrates with Paragon’s routing and scheduling software, analysing vehicle location and status information using real-time satellite tracking and mobile communications. With this highly accurate information, transport planners are able to analyse the true delivery performance against key performance indicators, enabling them to improve operational management, customer service and driver activity.
The software also allows real-time reporting and mobile messaging across its range of routing and scheduling solutions. It gives a live view of the fleet’s performance against planned routes and provides customers with delivery updates using text messages. With Paragon Route Execution text-messaging, customers no longer need to stand by for their delivery as the system notifies them that the truck is on its way with an accurate ETA. If the delivery vehicle is running late, transport managers can also inform the customer of the delay, which also helps ensure good customer relations.
“We have more than 50 customers using Route Execution across a range of industries and in different countries. They are testimony to the flexibility of the solution and the advancements in vehicle tracking technology, which enables a seamless integration between real-time data and our routing and scheduling software to provide further optimisation enhancements, drive down costs and emissions, and improve customer service,” says William Salter, Managing Director, Paragon Software Systems.
