fleXipod, a cutting edge Electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD) system, has been implemented by Shire GB after a very successful trial period.

Shire GB, a family owned business, has become synonymous with Britain’s garden culture as a top manufacturer of timber buildings and other outdoor structures. Shire GB deliver direct to the end customer on behalf of major retailers such as: B&Q, Tesco, Screwfix, Homebase and Argos. After being introduced to fleXipod, Shire GB saw it as the perfect opportunity to further improve their delivery process, maximise efficiencies and enhance customer care.

Operating it’s own fleet of vehicles and customer services centre, fleXipod provides Shire GB and end customers with more accurate, real time information on their deliveries than ever before.

As a fully integrated GPS system fleXipod can track exact locations of each Shire GB delivery vehicle allowing head office to monitor each delivery status, update the driver on any changes to the job and even remind the driver to charge the fleXipod device when the battery is running low. In addition, clients can upload their own forms for relevant “trigger points” – vehicle checklists, site access, shift logon forms and so on.

fleXipod has greatly improved service levels to the end customer and is enhancing the service provided to the retailers Shire GB supply, without requiring further resources and staff.

fleXipod can run on commercial rugged and consumer devices alike with the system running on the Android operation system making it is easy to scale the fleXipod solution based on consumer demands. Currently Shire GB run 50 fleXipod licences in total with anywhere between 30 and all 50 being used at any one time.
