Paragon Software Systems, Inc., the dedicated provider of vehicle routing and scheduling optimization solutions, reported strong growth during 2013 in its US operation. Paragon’s new developments, innovations and commitment to its clients have ensured that the company experienced both new business growth during 2013, and also increased commitment from existing clients, some of whom have been with Paragon for over 10 years.
“The transport and logistics industry always needs to keep a lid on operating costs; even more so in times of economic uncertainty, so it is great for us to see Paragon getting recognition for its commitment to delivering first-class routing software and for our customers who continue to grow their businesses and make savings at this challenging time,” says William Salter, CEO, Paragon Software Systems, Inc. “In 2013 we were able to report a number of key successes: that Stewarts Shop’s is seeing efficiency improvements; that George’s Chicken won the MH&L innovation award for work facilitated by Paragon’s software; that we also won a Supply Chain Executive Green award for our ongoing commitment to helping companies run greener fleets; and that National Food Corporation’s cut its transportation costs as a result of using Paragon’s routing software.”
In addition 2013 saw Paragon announce a number of important new developments for clients including the launch of its web portal exclusively for Paragon customers. There was also news relating to its Carbon Minimizer product, designed to help companies run greener fleets, and its Territory Optimizer offering which helps transportation operators schedule balanced workloads to different territories to improve driver productivity and enhance customer service levels. And in China Paragon successfully introduced two key initiatives – the implementation of simplified Chinese language into its software and street level mapping capability for the whole of mainland China.
“Paragon remains focused on its commitment to developing and implementing solutions that support the changing needs of today’s transportation operators,” concludes Salter. “Fleet operators have realized that effective use of routing and scheduling software not only improves efficiencies and service levels, but also provides a good return on investment by reducing costs.”
